Discussing The Benefits of Teenage Abstinence

Abstinence till maturity is better than using contraceptives as a teenager. It saves you from the shame of unplanned pregnancy that could lead to your getting involved with a partner that could be abusive and the pain of gaining a bad reputation particularly for ladies. 

However due to the changing times such value has often been regarded as a myth. Although aware of the benefits of teenage abstinence, most teenagers today are too promiscuous to understand that having sex before marriage is not advisable. 

Teenagers especially girls should know how to love and respect themselves before getting involved. Do not let the opposite sex drag you down. If one truly cares for you he would never force himself to have sex with you. True loves wait. Jumping in bed would not prove anything. 

Evidently you might just want to weigh the consequences before agreeing to its term. Teenagers particularly girls should know better than to take it off. Evidently one night of pleasure can lead to a lifetime of regrets. Your body is your temple thus you should be responsible in caring for it. You would rather listen to these words of wisdom than to find yourself physically and mentally abused in the future.

Despite the use of contraceptives, unwanted pregnancy can still happen. Most girls who get pregnant in such an early stage tend to experience rejection and disappointment often leading to miscarriage or abortion. Unfortunately this can affect reproductive health often resulting to infertility and higher chances of cervical cancer in the future.

Most teenage marriages on the other hand often lead to divorce resulting from battery or the incapacity to provide. Evidently these kids are too young to handle parental responsibilities. They still lack skills and knowledge making them to attain high paying jobs that can support their families. 

Such unfortunate event often leads to arguments, disappointments and even physical abuse. This can be frustrating for a teenager. However if one has adult supervision he will unlikely fall for the temptation. 

Parents should know better than to leave the children all on their own. Not because they are big enough to feed themselves alone means they are wise enough to deal with the issues of society. We all need to be guided sometimes. 

Finding a way to reach out to the teenagers will help them develop self-confidence and they would be emotionally strong to face immature actions and peer pressure. You should weigh the consequences first before you jump into the guilty pleasure. Are you sure that you are ready for it? Remember once the night is over there is no turning back. 

You might not get pregnant nor will you end up in marriage, however you still would experience the shame of being the hottest girl in bed and only God knows where that reputation would lead you. If you want your man to respect you the live right, act right and protect your rights. This is possible with abstinence.
