The Evil of Sexual Sin (2) Consequences of Lust and Fornication

                                                                             

Common doors the enemy may use include devoted watching of movies particularly those movies that expose men or women’s nakedness, pornography, listening to oral sex words, visiting an opposite sex alone, prying at or touching an opposite sex with a wrong motive and many others. Further still, the enemy could creep in through other things you love more than God. All bible quotations in this article are from New Living Translation (NLT)

 The consequences of Lust and Fornication are as follows:

1. Losing the Presence of God.

2. Suffering loss.

3. Giving room for the kingdom of darkness in your life.

4. Starting to experience spiritual death. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Similarly, James 1:15 “These evil desires lead to evil actions, and evil actions lead to death." Genesis 3:17. And to Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate the fruit I told you not to eat, I have placed a curse on the ground. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it."

5. Remember, when you involve yourself in fornication, you have willingly given your body for destruction. Any of this could happen to you; genital ulcers and cancers, herpes simplex infection, HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections and so on.

6. You spiritually carry the burden of your partner when you fornicate because, life was involved i.e. exchange of liquids through sperm, semen or even kisses. So if your fellow culprit was cursed or suffers anything spiritually, you indirectly partake in it. Leviticus 17:11. For the life of any creature is in its blood: I have given you the blood, so you can make atonement for your sins. It is the blood, representing life that brings you atonement.

7. When you lose confidence in God because of the sin of lust and fornication, you lose confidence in men, especially men of integrity.

8. You are sure playing with ticket of hell in your hand and if you die in that sin, you will go to hell. Ephesians. 5:5 "You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is really an idolater who worships the things of this world.

9. The spirits of lust and fornication are very dangerous spirits. They defraud you of your miracles, and other possessions. They make you experience delayed miracle. A blessing that should be due in a matter of days, will take years to come to you.

10. If you are not careful, you might miss out from God's purpose and plan for you and live all your life miserable and unfulfilled. Job 26:6 “The underworld is naked in God’s presence. There is no cover for the place of destruction.”
